Help Basmah Rebuild Her Life in Gaza

Story

My name is Aleisa, I am writing on behalf of my friend Basmah Mousa, who is living in Gaza & experiencing a genocide firsthand. Basmah is my friend Moutaz’s sister-in-law; you may remember me speaking and sharing photos of him on the gofundme campaign I manage here: Help Language Teacher Rebuild His Home As the world sees with horror, the Israeli army has been deliberately murdering civilians & destroying Palestinian social institutions as a matter of fact. Basmah has been experiencing severe trauma since losing her home, which was leveled to the ground in October by Israeli air strikes. Since then, she was forced to evacuate to many places, starting in Al Shati camp in North Gaza and then later to the Al-Sheikh Radwan area. Once there, she suffered from deliberate, imposed starvation. Surviving weeks of hunger and malnutrition, she successfully ran away to Khan Younis City hoping to find a way of life there. Unfortunately, Basmah has faced death many times. She endured hunger in Khan Younis and had to run for her life yet again. Basmah went through Israeli checkpoints many times with her family. Cruelly, Gazans aren’t permitted to carry their own possessions through these checkpoints, so everything she had with her had to be left behind. Continuing south, once through the checkpoints, she was able to reunite with her family, where they sheltered in a small tent in Rafah near the shore. They had no household items or possessions with which to live. Outrageously, after the brutal attack on Rafah, a designated safe zone, Basmah was displaced over and over again. Presently, she’s living on the ruins of Khan Younis City, a large city that has now become a wasteland. Now densely populated with displaced people, survivors are surrounded by rubble with no infrastructure & no means for living. Sadly, Basmah and her family are all suffering from extreme poverty, they lack utensils, covers to sleep under, and all the basic necessities for life. I ask you today to stand with the oppressed & save a peaceful family who are distraught after being separated & displaced many times yet again. Because of my close connection to the family, I will be able to send all our donations as direct international transfers & provide updates as we make progress. We can help Gazans experiencing oppressive, disastrous violence right now by sending funds for what they need most. Any amount you donate is meaningful. Pictured below are images of the devastation to Basmah’s home:
