WE AROUND RACING, FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF BART COLON

Are reaching out to support our dear friend Bart Colon, who recently underwent emergency open-heart surgery after suffering a dissecting aortic aneurysm—a condition that could have taken his life had he not made it to the hospital in time.

Doctors were able to repair the aneurysm, replace his aortic valve, and place a clip to manage a potential risk of atrial fibrillation. To perform this life-saving procedure, they had to fully open his chest. While we are beyond grateful that Bart is still with us, he now faces a long, difficult road to recovery.

Bart will be out of work for at least 12 weeks as he heals. During this time, he’ll need help covering bills, medical costs, and day-to-day expenses. We’re setting a goal of $15,000 to help ease this burden and allow Bart to focus fully on healing.
