<div>I have been friends with Barb and Jaime collectively for nearly 4 decades. Over the years, Barb has been a pillar of support and kindness in our community, always standing up for the LGBTQ community, volunteering with the elderly for decades, and mentoring young musicians. Jaime shares this spirit of generosity and has joined Barb in making a positive impact on those around them. Now, as they face increasing threats and intolerance due to anti-trans laws and shifting attitudes, it’s our turn to support them as they seek safety and a fresh start in Spain.

<div> Despite selling nearly all their belongings and saving as much as possible, Barb and Jaime need help covering the many expenses involved in relocating. These include immigration lawyer fees, notary and apostille paperwork, international pet travel exams and fees for their two beloved cats, flights, and temporary pet-friendly housing when they arrive in Spain. They’ll also need to find a permanent home, pay a security deposit, and start over with the basics—everything from a mattress and sheets to kitchen essentials and cleaning supplies. Every donation, no matter the size, will help them rebuild their lives in a place where they can feel safe and supported.
