Meet Bandit: Our Sweet Boy Who Needs Your Help
This is Bandit, my loyal companion since 2017. I adopted him after moving across the country, and while I thought I was just getting a dog, I ended up gaining a best friend for life. Bandit’s original owner, a service member, didn’t have the time to care for him, and I’m so grateful our paths crossed. From the moment I met him, I knew he was the perfect dog. He’s been my rock ever since—through major life transitions, multiple cross-country moves, and countless moments where his comforting presence was exactly what I needed.
He’s 9 years old now, full of life, and loved by everyone who meets him. We joke that Bandit has an uncanny ability to know when someone’s upset—he’s there in an instant to comfort you in his own way. He’s more than just a dog; he’s family.
Recently, we took Bandit to the vet for some GI issues, only to discover that he has cancer. The vet recommends surgery as soon as possible, but unfortunately, we’re in a financial bind. This past year has been especially tough—my husband and I moved in with my mother-in-law to help care for her, and we’re juggling normal bills along with medical expenses. We’re doing our best to catch up, but we’re asking for help to give Bandit the surgery he needs to live a better, longer life.
Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to us and Bandit. We’re not ready to say goodbye to him just yet. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering helping our sweet boy.
