Help Baker Street West Recover from Vandalism
Tax deductible
Sadly, in the wee hours of Saturday, September 26, 221B Baker Street was assailed by a burglar and vandal as evil as Professor James Moriarty. Two doors were demolished by which the villain was able to attain access into Mr. Holmes' and Dr. Watson's flat. Fortunately (or unfortunately), our two champions were out of residence and in Dartmoor where they were investigating a little matter about a Hound.
The scoundrel (not the Hound, but the vandal) thrashed, demolished, and cast a dark, profane shadow on the sanctity of 221B. In addition, he scaled the stairs to Hein & Company Estate Sales where he continued his plunder. Mrs. Hudson is in such a state she requires constant dosing of smelling salts.
All here at Baker Street West feared the desecration might turn Holmes to the needle ~ however, with the help of Irene Adler, Mary Morstan, Emilia Lucca, Alice Rucastle, Beryl Stapleton, and a second Mary Morstan with Doctor Watson, 221B is straightened and righted, but it is less than its whole before the incident. With your help, Mr. Holmes and the Good Doctor may not notice anything amiss upon their return.
We make a plea to our Victorian-loving community to help us recover from this atrocity. We need to replace three doors, many missing items, and install a security system so we can rest assured this barbarism will never happen again.
Baker Street West is a nonprofit organization (donors may use the Tax ID number) and is more generally known as a place . . . Where The Game Is Always Afoot.
