Help Bailey Recover After Accident
Donation protected

My name is Emily. I'm a devoted mother, girlfriend, and animal lover. Dogs have been my passion for years, and I'm thankful to have an amazing career in the pet industry.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my 2 dogs, Maya and Bailey.
Bailey came to us last year as a scrawny 6-month-old puppy, and she's become my heart and soul dog, my velcro dog. She's my very best friend. More than snuggles and food, Bailey loves to run. She becomes so free when she's bouncing around fields or trying to get other dogs to chase her at the dog park.
Late Sunday evening, Bailey got out and took off through our neighborhood. While on our search for her, she was hit by a car.
We rushed her to UW Veterinary, and their emergency staff were able to stabilize her.
She has no internal bleeding; her head and torso were both cleared.
Bailey Bean was clipped by the car, and her pelvis is fractured. Originally, it was assumed she had a fracture in her femur, but the x-rays came back with only the fractures in her pelvis. Because of where the fracture is on her pelvis, surgery is no longer required or recommended, but although she currently cannot walk, she is on strict kennel rest for the next 8 weeks.
The funds will be used firstly on follow up exams and x-rays, and then any remaining will be used for medications and rehabilitation.
We are asking to please help us in covering the cost of follow up care for our beloved Pointer puppy. She means the world to me.
