Babirye is an 8yr old girl living by the river Nile in Jinja, Uganda, with her mother and twin younger brothers. Their father passed away four years ago, and since then, life has become incredibly difficult. With no steady income, Babirye’s mother works on other people’s farms when work is available, but most days it’s not enough, the family often goes hungry.

There is no money for Babirye to attend school, and as a result, she has yet to begin her education. With the new school year starting in January, I’m hoping to raise enough funds to support her for at least one or two years. This would ease the financial burden on her mother, allowing her to focus on caring for Babirye’s younger twin brothers.

School fees cost approximately $130 AUD per term (three terms per year), which includes food. Books, uniforms, and other essentials are not included.

With your help, I'm hoping to provide food, cooking supplies, and if enough is raised, give Babirye the chance to go to school and build a brighter future for herself and her brothers.
