<div>I'm sharing the story of a beautiful little girl named Ayla and her incredibly brave mum, Abigail.

<div>At just six months old, Ayla was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer known as BCOR-ITD sarcoma — news that turned her family's world upside down in an instant.
</div>

<div>Throughout 2024, Ayla underwent an intensive year of chemotherapy. Despite being so young, she faced every challenge with remarkable courage and resilience. When treatment ended and the family was told she was in remission, it finally felt like they could begin looking forward to a brighter future.

<div>Sadly, that relief was short-lived.
</div>

</div>
<div>On 11 March 2026, a tumour was discovered, and Ayla underwent surgery to have it removed. Following further testing, the family received devastating news — active cancer cells were still present, and urgent treatment would be needed once again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Doctors have now recommended specialised proton radiotherapy, an advanced and highly targeted treatment that offers Ayla the best chance of eliminating the remaining cancer cells while minimising long-term side effects. Unfortunately, this treatment is not available locally, meaning Abigail and Ayla must travel to Florida in the United States to access the care she desperately needs.

<div>The family is expected to remain overseas for at least two months while Ayla undergoes treatment and recovery, with the possibility of a longer stay depending on her progress.
</div>

<div>As any parent would, Abigail is prepared to do whatever it takes to give her daughter the best possible chance at a healthy future. However, the financial burden of international medical travel is overwhelming. Flights, accommodation, daily living expenses, medical-related costs and time away from work are creating enormous pressure during an already heartbreaking time.

<div>As a parent, I cannot imagine the strength it takes to face this battle not once, but twice.
</div>

<div>Today, I'm asking for your support for Ayla and Abigail as they prepare for this critical stage of treatment.

<div>Funds raised will help cover travel to the United States, accommodation during treatment, medical-related expenses and the everyday costs that come with being away from home while focusing entirely on Ayla's recovery.
