Awot is a valuable member of the Riverside Elementary family. He came to America from Eritrea 15 years ago with his wife, and together they have 4 children. He currently works two jobs to support his family. He is a night custodian at Riverside Elementary and a driver for DoorDash during the day.

While working last week, Awot was involved in an accident that left his car totaled. Unfortunately, insurance won’t cover enough to replace the vehicle, and without a reliable mode of transportation, Awot and his family are experiencing an unexpected and overwhelming financial challenge.
