My name is Avery Laski. I live in a substance-abusive household, and I am creating this GoFundMe as an escape from this nightmare. I have had to call the cops on my mom twice: one time for domestic violence, the second due to threats I was receiving from her. She trashes our kitchen and living room due to intoxication, and I have to clean it up and make sure she gets to bed before she overwhelms herself. I've tried speaking to her when she's sober, and she just makes up excuse after excuse.

Some people told me I should make a GoFundMe and reach out for some help since legally the cops can't do anything because "It's her house," which makes no sense. I don't understand how it being "her house" means she can lay hands on me. But I am stuck, so I have resorted to seeking help. I just need enough money to get me out as soon as possible, and I need nothing more.

These funds will be used towards getting me and my animals out.
