My name is Shawn, and I’m raising funds to help my daughter Avery and me find a safe place to live. Avery is turning 10 soon and is passionate about science and math. We recently moved back to Michigan from Arizona so she could benefit from the stronger education system and more opportunities for kids. I wanted to give her the best chance to thrive, and Michigan seemed like the right place for her future.

Unfortunately, the plant where I worked closed all its Michigan operations shortly after we arrived. The job market in my field has been hit hard, and I lost my position. Without steady work, I couldn’t pay for a ticket, which means I can’t drive right now. This has made it even harder to get back on my feet and provide stability for Avery. We’re now at risk of losing our place and need to find a new home immediately.
