Help Aunty June Mills Elder from Larrakia Country

Aunty June Mills is a well known Darwin identity – a traditional owner of Larrakia land, the country on which Darwin is built and the surrounding area

Aunty June is having a very hard time in the last month.

She has been evicted from her property due to ongoing disputes with Housing NT.

Currently Aunty is sleeping rough and being an elder we would hope to be able to help her get back on her feet. She has stated she needs supports for storage and new housing arrangements. She may possibly go out to community once she gets on her feet.

She put out a distressed call for information regarding what is happening in her outback communities and on country as she has not heard from her community. This has caused her major distress in not knowing what is happening. This video subsequently went viral and now aunty has become famous internationally.

While the majority of us are showing a deep level of love and respect to Aunty, she has received quite a lot of backlash. This has caused her distress and she has stated she is scared to return to her previous premises .

Lets help get Aunty back on her feet and show her the community stand behind her 110%
