<div>July 2025, my Aunt Kay was diagnosed with stage 2/grade 3 HER2-positive breast cancer, a very aggressive type of breast cancer. Hearing the words "you have cancer" is life changing. It touches every part of your body, your emotions, your plans, and your peace of mind, but through it all, she is standing on the promises of God and trusting Jesus with every moment.

<div>So far, her journey hasn't been the easiest, her first chemo treatment landed her in the hospital for 9 days with sepsis. It was a frightening and painful setback, but in true Kay fashion she fought through it with strength and her sense of humor.

<div>If you know my Aunt Kay you know she doesn't know a stranger. She's the aunt, mom, grandma, sister, daughter and friend who's always willing to be there when there's a need. Somehow, she manages to always make people laugh even in the hardest of times, but her love for her fur babies, family and friends has always been the heart of who she is.
