<div>When Augyst was just a few weeks old, she faced her first battle: emergency surgery for a mal-rotated intestine. During the pre-op, it was discovered that she also needed an additional surgery to connect two parts of her stomach. Though she has been unable to hold down food since the surgery and has been placed on multiple feeding tubes, her courageous spirit shines through as the medical team continues to diagnose and treat her various ailments.

<div>Despite spending a month in the hospital <em>with no clear end in sight,</em> Augyst's parents, Ashley and Dolan, have stood by her side every minute of every day. Their love and dedication have been unwavering as they advocate for their daughter's life. Even as Augyst battles bladder malfunction, brain swelling, and other serious ailments, her parents' hope and determination have been a beacon of light.
