Meet Astro

A sweet 10 month old husky (possibly a mix) who I found under a car about a week ago. According to a local business, he was abandoned and had been out there alone for at least a week before I came across him. Despite what he’s been through, Astro is incredibly trusting, affectionate, and eager to connect with people.

What the Funds Will Help With:

I’ve already taken Astro to the vet, and overall he’s in good health. He does have a mild ear infection, a limp in his back right leg, and he’s on medication for both. If the limp doesn’t improve, an x-ray may be needed soon. He’s also scheduled to be neutered on July 22.

Any funds raised will go directly toward:

• Neutering

• X-rays (if needed)

• Medications

• Basic supplies (food, crate, leash, toys, etc.)

Personality & Training:

Astro has adjusted really well to home life. He’s already learned to sit, lay down, give paw, and respects boundaries in the house. He’s not food possessive, doesn’t chew things he shouldn’t, and is surprisingly quiet for a husky no howling or screaming.

He’s currently working on crate training and leash manners and is making solid progress, especially considering he’s still just a pup.

The Goal:

Astro is a great dog with a lot of potential. I’ll be fostering him until the right home comes along somewhere he can get regular exercise, structure, and the attention he deserves.
