Hi, I’m Patrycja. I want to tell you a story of my little brother’s dog. Preston got Astro almost 4 and a half years ago (he picked the name even before he had the dog, he was so excited). So full of energy as a puppy, so sweet, great with kids. Loved his little snuggle bed. As he got older, he became so obedient. A truly great dog!
About a month ago, they were sitting on the couch and out of nowhere, he started having seizures. They rushed him to the vet emergency room and they were told he was having seizures.
When they returned home, he had another seizure and the next day, another one. They took him for an appointment to the vet and he got an x-ray and a blood test. All negative. He received Keppra meds to take multiple times a day and it all started looking up… until this Saturday.
He got focal seizures or partial seizures, but not just one. They just kept coming. It makes his neck spasm and turn left and right, lips twitch, and hallucinations happen. And it just kept getting worse. They rushed him to the hospital at 3 am on Sunday. He stayed until Monday afternoon. They brought him back, he won’t eat or drink. Hasn’t slept in days. They took him to the vet again and then the hospital again. Waiting for results of an MRI. They are hoping for the best but all the medical interventions are adding up quite quick! Please find it in your heart to donate and help cover their expenses as they try to save their furry friend.
