Help Aspyn Fight Cancer!

Donation protected
Aspyn just turned 21 in February.   She was halfway through her Junior year at the University of Idaho where she was majoring in virtual technology design with a minor in art.  She dreamed of working for a major animation studio following her graduation next year.   She was living in her own apartment, working, and going to school full-time in addition to proudly calling herself a member of the U of I Vandal Marching Band (go Vandals!) for the past three years and serving as the treasurer for the Plant and Soil Sciences club.  She should be on top of the world,  living her best life right now.  Instead, her fast-track to her dream life was derailed by a single word.   Cancer.   Aspyn was diagnosed with stage 4B Hodgkin's Lymphoma March 14th, 2019.  By the time she realized it was more than just the normal amount of exhaustion that comes with the stresses of college life and went to the doctor,  her disease was significantly advanced.   Hodgkin's typically has 65-85% chance of remaining cancer-free five years after treatment  -- the doctors gave Aspyn a 50% chance due to the severity of her symptoms.   She has involvement throughout her chest and neck, a 10cm destructive mass on her sternum, involvement in multiple ribs, probable bone marrow involvement, and her spleen.   She has fluid on both lungs and around her heart.  In spite of what a long journey she faces and how very sick she is, she fights.  She is so brave and kind and goes through every procedure and every new horror that cancer and cancer treatment can throw at a person with a smile on her face and hope in her heart.  She has every intention of successfully getting through whatever treatments are required to beat this thing so she can return to school and complete her degree.   We are currently driving to Salt Lake City every two weeks for 6 months for chemotherapy treatments.  Funds raised will go to help alleviate some of the costs associated with travel and medical expenses not covered by insurance.   Since Aspyn had to forfeit the remainder of her scholarship amount when she withdrew from school to move back home to start treatments, any remaining funds will go toward her school costs.
