I'm Ashley Mapenzauswa and my story begins on February 17th, 2023, with a car accident that caused me to lose my car and my job at the time. I've struggled financially, mentally, and emotionally.

Since then, I've been able to slowly build myself up mentally and emotionally. My lifestyle has changed from being social and involved to isolated and anti-social.

It's now 2025, and I have been presented with the opportunity to pursue a career as a professional athlete. I joined the Indiana Valor as a running back on February 6, 2025, Indiana's first women's pro tackle football team in 5 years. Unfortunately, most women in sports are not paid, so we have to invest in ourselves and the team. I've been fortunate enough to raise some of the funds needed to secure my spot on the team, but in order to play on the field, I need to raise the rest of the funds.

Since joining the team, I've been able to meet a lot of amazing women, use skills and abilities that have not been used in a long time, get out of the house more frequently than before, and I've seen an improvement in my mental and emotional health.

My goal is to raise $400 to get the team uniform and play on the field. Any little bit helps. Thank you so much!
