<div>In September 2024, I was <strong>diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia</strong>. Despite undergoing an intensive chemotherapy treatment program, a biopsy in January 2025 revealed that the chemotherapy was not achieving the desired results.

<div>The next step in my treatment is a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, my resident status does not provide Medicare coverage, and my private health insurance does not cover the costs of the transplant, <strong>which is estimated to be AUD $200,000. </strong>This amount needs to be paid in full before the specialist can perform the transplant.
