<div>Hi, I am Easton Casey and I am blessed to know and love the Cantrell's - Maddy, Trent, Rosie, and Asher. I’m organizing this GoFundMe to help support them as they continue caring for our sweet boy, Ashy.

<div>When you meet Asher, you see pure joy — bright eyes, a contagious smile, and a heart that radiates courage. He’s just 1 year and 9 months old, but his story has already touched so many lives and strengthened the faith of everyone who knows him!

<div>From his mom, Maddy:

<div>“When Asher was 2 months old, he suddenly stopped being able to breathe on his own. Asher was diagnosed with SMARD at 4 months old during our 3-month hospital stay. SMARD stands for Spinal Muscular Atrophy with Respiratory Distress. His life span is 2 years, but we believe God will heal him in an amazing and creative way! Our day-to-day life is very busy. Asher averages two appointments a day. He goes to PT, SLP, OT, MNRI therapy, and chiropractic therapy weekly. He attends Little Lighthouse once a week for school and absolutely loves it!

<div>We feel so blessed to be his parents, and he has shown us how to be strong and depend on the Lord in a very close-knit way.”

<div>Maddy, Trent, Asher, and Rosie lived in the hospital for 75 days… 75 DAYS!

</div>

<div>They got a lot of support then — raised tons of money for medical bills — and were even on the news to get the spinal tap they needed from a research center to help with Asher’s chances to survive. Since being released from the hospital on July 31st, 2024, they’ve seen little improvements here and there almost every day (All Glory to God!) — but daily life is still a fight-or-flight experience for them.

<div>Nonetheless, through it all, Maddy and Trent fight for Faith. They choose to trust God through it, even when their feelings would say otherwise. They fight to find joy in the LORD.

</div>

<div>The other day, Maddy texted me and said, “I’m trying to work on finding my joy in the salvation and not based on circumstances… Hard.”

</div>

<div>That one message hit me. The way they trust God makes me want to trust God more deeply.

</div>

<div>How This Fund Helps:

<div>Like Maddy mentioned above, this GoFundMe will help cover the variety of therapies Asher needs, but also formula/blended foods, medical equipment, and family support.

</div>

<div>Because Asher is a medically complex child, Maddy has to stay home with him, while Trent goes to work every day. Trent works for Broken Arrow Public Schools and is a basketball coach. He has a great job and an incredibly supportive community there — but as we all know, most of us can’t live off one income… especially an Oklahoma teacher’s salary.
