<div>18 months ago, Asher’s life changed overnight when he woke up with sudden, severe symptoms: motor and vocal tics, OCD, anxiety, and episodes of rage. After months of searching for answers, he was diagnosed with PANDAS—an autoimmune condition where the body mistakenly attacks the brain following a strep infection. Because this condition is still under-recognized, most of his treatment has been out of pocket. His doctors believe IVIG infusions can help him heal, but insurance has yet to approve it.
