Help Ashely rebuild after Harvey

Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Michelle Renfrow here.  I thankfully survived Harvey with minimal damage to my home in Sugar Land and we all know that Harvey has impacted many of us greatly. This one special friend of mine is a single mom living in Houston with her amazing son.  After surving evacuating by SWIMMING to safety with her son and dogs, she lost her car, her apartment and its materials and her place of work also flooded beyond imagination.  To add insult to injury her apartment was RANSACKED by looters!

PLEASE HELP ME GET ASHLEY BACK ON TRACK!

She has NO place to store new belongings so we are asking for financial donations at this time.  However if you or someone you know can donate 2 new bed frames, mattresses, a couch and love seat, coffee table, kitchen table and chairs, dressers and night stands and book shelves please reach out to Michelle Renfrow to assit. We are trying not to overwhelm her at this time.

The donated money will be used to purchase furniture from a local store, Maybe Gallery Furniture, or Star, we will get as much as we can to restock her new apartment (when she gets one) from Target or Wal Mart. Right not the funds are set up to go to my account and I will transfer the money to Ashley upon her request or purcahse gift cards to her desired stores. I am completely happy to show anyone the recepits and details to make sure everything is on the up and up.

Here is her last two FB posts so you can see what shes been through.

"Woke up this morning and was AMAZED by how much the water receded. Took a walk to check on my car, interior is wet and it's not so happy driving. Get to my front door only to find out that my apartment had been ransacked. Rooms torn apart. Important items kept up high to prevent water damage were thrown around, things all askew... I lost it, for the first time this whole ordeal. Dealing with the loss and overwhelming feeling of being flooded and to add on top of that only a few hours later this violation. They took $2 out of our savings bucket, left everything else.... I took pictures of everything and packed up what I could (including my whiskey) fearful they will come back tonight now that water has receded to take what they want. Trying to get ahold of HPD to report this but understandable not able to get through the line."

two days later

"Today has been my tearful day, and most people know I'm not one who generally cries. I think finally processing the fact that we literally had to swim down the block in water up to my 5'9" chest to try to seek shelter with just a bag with dog food and a few belongings, and our dogs halfway there realizing that we were actually in over our heads and having that rescue boat show up when it did. Also, the Facebook ad this morning offering free coffee and breakfast if you could make it to them started the tears, goodness I miss coffee and my car!"

Sincerely,
