For those of you who are fortunate enough to know Asherylee Poblete Pereira (lovingly known as Ash or Che), you know what it feels like to be in the presence of a funny, adventure-loving, and fiercely loyal family member and friend. You know what it feels like to be with someone who would give and do anything for the people she loves. You know what it feels like to know someone you can utterly depend on. You know what it feels like to know a person whose love for others always comes before her own well-being.
Now, it is our turn to be there for Ash.
Just this past November, after weeks of numerous doctor appointments and tests, Ash was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Many of us know (all too well) the immense cost cancer treatment requires, and the unpredictable amount of time it will take for each individual's journey. Ash's journey has just begun. On December 10, she underwent surgery in the hope of carrying out the first part of her healing process. Unfortunately, it could not proceed as she and her doctor had planned. Ash and her family are currently seeking advice for their next steps, and remain extremely positive and hopeful.
The money we aim to raise for Ash will help with her medical expenses that will not be covered by insurance. She may also have to look at the possibility of receiving treatment outside of their home state of Florida.
We know that this is a difficult time for everyone, but we want to assure you that ANY amount you are able to donate will move us closer to helping Ash win this fight.
