Help Arthur Get Surgery

Imagine working hard all of your life and doing your best to become successful and having it all taken away by a mystery illness. Having doctors tell you that they don't know exactly what it is or why it’s happening. This is exactly what’s happening to my friend Arthur. He has been living with a bone disease that causes the bones and joints in his body to deteriorate and dissolve for the past 10 years leaving him in excruciating pain. He has sought treatment for many of those years and the treatments have so far failed. Doctors are now recommending Arthur have reconstructive surgery on his face and jaw to replace what they can to help save his joints, bone and teeth. It was also recommended Arthur have surgery on his leg joints to help save his ability to walk.
Arthur is self-employed, making his living playing and recording music. He also supplements his income through work as a DJ at various local nightclubs as well as for events in the area. Because he is self-employed, his insurance options are limited. The insurance he does have will not cover the full costs of the proposed surgeries. Without these surgeries Arthur will slowly lose his ability to continue working and eventually, lead a normal life.
Selfless and always ready to jump in and help, Arthur regularly donates his own time, talents and money to help local veterans, kids and the elderly. He is also an amazing friend to many, jumping in and helping them out no matter the cost to himself. Whether it be to drive several hours to help friends pack their family home after a death or fly across the country to be the DJ for a good family friend. Arthur gives so much and has asked for nothing in return. This is our opportunity to help him out.
We are asking for $80,000. This money will go into a medical fund that will cover what insurance will not, but will also help sustain Arthur during the time he is recovering and unable to work. Any donation amount is appreciated and welcome. Lets get Arthur the medical help he needs! As of now he is also at risk of losing his insurance coverage for 2018. Everything will help.
