Help Arnold and Jutta in Their Time of Need

I am starting this go fund me on behalf of my dad, Arnold Garden. Arnold is a retired army veteran who served our country for 21 years. He works part-time and is the primary caretaker of my mom, Jutta, who is handicapped from suffering a stroke 3 1/2 years ago.

He has been in the hospital since May 30 for a routine surgery. It has gone every way except right. After the surgery, they thought he had a bowel blockage so they attempted to insert a nasogastric tube which took three attempts to insert, damaging his esophagus. He has not eaten since May 29 and the doctors only just started realizing that there was a real issue with his esophagus. He now has a feeding tube in hopes to start getting the nutrients that he needs. In addition to those obstacles, it was found that he is allergic to heparin, that instead of keeping blood clots from forming, he ended up having blood clots form in his lungs. Arnold also had to have nephrostomy tubes placed from his kidneys to allow his bladder to heal. He will be moved to a skilled nursing facility once he is cleared for discharge from the hospital.

Since he has been in the hospital for almost two months, he has had no income from his part-time job to support him and my mom. In addition, he will have a deductible for his treatment.
