<div>This will be my second round of therapies with a doctor I've been working with all year, who specializes in root-cause Lyme recovery and has already helped me regain energy and stop some of my more disabling symptoms. The treatment and doctor's visits cost $2,694, the flights and Airbnb for this trip will add up to a couple more thousand. <strong>The first $250 will allow me to schedule the treatment for November and get some more tests done.</strong>

<div>Since getting sick, I have had to step back from a lot of work and stop producing in my business, which means I making a lot less money. <strong>I work part time, maximum of 3 days a week is what my body can currently handle without setbacks.</strong> I have thankfully been able to cover basics like food, gas, and bills, but there's nothing left over for a trip like this, especially with ongoing testing and supplements.

Also, I am doing my best not to postpone my treatments and therapies due to funds, I want to stay on a trajectory of recovery. Which is why I am asking for your support! <div><strong>MY LYME STORY:</strong>

<div>In May 2025 I found an engorged tick in my hip after camping in the Redwoods at an event. I was in pain all night but did not check my skin, thinking I had a gnarly bruise. Late the next morning I found the tick and had a friend remove it. It was a very painful next few days, joint pain and aches, overall weakness and brain fog. Soon after I was on antibiotics after advocating that the tick was most likely attached for over 12 hours and I needed something to help fight off any infection or bacteria. Unfortunately, the antibiotics only made me feel worse. On top of feeling weak, fatigued and achy, my iron levels and red blood cell count dropped and I was later diagnosed with anemia. At this time, I had a hard time keeping my head up to eat and getting up to walk was painful. This lasted for a couple weeks and eventually I was able to work with a TCM doctor to support my blood and energy. It helped my spirit and energy, but I continued to feel fatigued. Other symptoms began to arise over the past few months, varying each day: migraines, bell's palsy like symptoms, brain fog, night sweats, disorientation, fevers, loss of sensations. Each day is different and I spend a lot of my energy managing symptoms, and supporting myself to just eat, get a full night's rest, and do one task a day if I am able. Before this tick bite, I was already healing from experiencing monthly panic attacks all throughout 2024, sinus congestion, fibroids, fainting spells, and tension. Overall, there is a lot going on and I am so grateful to have found a doctor that focuses on root cause healing. It's exhausting and I want to support my body in coming back to vitality in life, so that I can be present, follow my dreams, serve my communities, and feel like myself again. It’s difficult and isolating having symptoms no one can see, and they flare up and change throughout each week.

<div>I had my first treatment in February of 2026 with this doctor in Tennessee, who specializes in lyme recovery. It helped me gain so much more energy, and stopped some of the major symptoms I was having that kept me from being able to focus and concentrate. As of July 2026 - with the proper adjustments to my lifestyle, diet, and simplification of my work - I feel I am on a path to recovery. Of course, there are still some concerning and sometimes scary symptoms I come to experience, such as muscle weakness, heaviness, depression, nausea, lack of appetite, unprovoked panic, and shortness of breath.
