Hello everyone,
I never thought I'd have to make one of these posts. Tonight, Tuesday, February 25th, our family pets got into a scuffle that took a dark turn leaving my cat, Ari with a possibly broken jaw. I could barely afford the pain injections which only lasts 4-6 hours, but he urgently needs a full work up that I cannot possibly afford on my own.
Ari has been in the family for almost 8 years. He was adopted at 5 months old. He's a typical boy cat- stubborn, independent and only shows affection on his own terms. He'll meow to be put him down while being held, even as he purrs loudly. He absolutely loves puree and is a seafood lover. His favorite flavor of food and treats is salmon.
After rushing him to the emergency vets, we were informed that his tooth is lodged into his jaw. They can't determine if he needs a simple tooth removal or if his jaw is broken. He would need a proper consultation, x-ray and prescription medication before determining which solution to proceed with. Upfront costs are nearly $900 and that's before potential surgery. We're looking into cost friendly vet clinics, but the expenses are too overwhelming.
I am humbly asking for your support to help cover the cost of Ari's assessments and determine if emergency surgery is needed. If his jaw is broken and I cannot come up with the funding, he will not be able to eat properly, and I may have to say goodbye to him despite knowing he still has a good few years left. Please help give my cat a chance at a healthy recovery. Every penny counts, and I will keep everyone updated as we learn more.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Please share this with your friends and family. I am eternally grateful for any help that you can offer.
Ari's human,
Monica A.
