Help Antonia (Nia) Kearney Fight Toward Recovery!

Donation protected
It is not blood that makes you family......It is LOVE.  Please join us in loving on Nia Kearney!!

Please support Antonia (Nia) Kearney as she fights to recover from a blood clot on her spinal cord.  On Thursday, May 2nd, she developed a pain in her neck which progressed into losing sensation and use of her arms and legs.  Upon further testing it appears Nia has suffered from a blood clot to her spinal cord.  She currently remains at UNC Hospitals in the Neuro ICU receiving excellent care.  Her family is constantly by her side supporting her.

Those that know Nia describe her as a strong, smart and energetic young woman.  Nia brings out the good in all that she meets and her personality fills the room.  In the Fall of 2018, she attended Howard University and was an important part of winning the MEAC Volleyball Championship and making it to the NCAA tournament.  This Spring she returned home and has been enrolled at Wake Tech and working two jobs.  Nia has been an inspiration to so many people through her fighting personality and her desire to persevere through difficult times.  She has a special way of loving her friends and family and has built many relationships over the years through her involvement at East Wake Academy, Watts Chapel Missionary Church, Triangle Volleyball, Howard University, Wake Tech and Parkside Restaurant.

Marcus and LaTonya, her parents, have been diligently by her side.  Marcus is staying during the day while LaTonya works and LaTonya stays at night while Marcus stays with Ari.  Ari is now in the 4th grade trying to get ready for EOG testing at the end of May.  She is brave sister who loves Nia and is eager for her to get better.  Marcus and LaTonya are trying to keep juggling "all the balls in the air" and they are doing a fantastic job.

Please help us support the Kearney family by donating funds through this site.  These funds are needed for gas, parking fees, food and any other expenses that might associated with an emergency, unexpected hospitalization.  Every dollar helps and nothing is considered too small.  If you cannot give at the moment, please lift up your prayers for complete healing of Nia and strength and grace for Marcus, LaTonya and Ari.

Thanks in advance for everyone who loves and supports the Kearney family during this challenging time.
