<div>On December 14, my step-father Dane passed away suddenly in his home at the age of 62. As you can imagine, this has been very difficult for our family. On top of the grief and pain we are experiencing, we are left with unexpected financial shortfalls. On December 17th, without any prior knowledge, my mom, Annie, was notified her house was going into foreclosure as Dane was in charge of the finances. She is responsible for the past due balance of $18,000 by January 10th. She has met with a lawyer and filed for an extension but will be responsible for the past due balance regardless. This home has been in our family for 50 years and home to Annie for over 30. It would be devastating to lose it. For most of you who know Annie, asking for help is the last thing she would ever want to do, but the consequences of not, are dire. We understand what a big request this is so close to the holidays, but any amount will help ease the burden and is greatly appreciated.
