Help Ann Find a Path to Recovery

Hello, my name is Misty and this is my sister Ann. She is currently in the hospital again due to her mental health. She has been an addict for years and living homeless until a couple of months ago. I have tried to help her multiple times, but she would take off. This time has been different. She got locked up on Jan 26th for about a month where they had her in isolation due to her mental state. I tried to get them to 1013 her, but they wouldn’t. She was finally released, and when I picked her up, she had scratches up and down her arms where she had a mental breakdown in there. I took her to the ER where she was admitted to Lakeview Mental Hospital. She stayed about 7 days and was released to me. We had plans lined up for her to go to a treatment facility where she was turned down due to her mental state. So, I took her to a PCP where they referred her to a psychiatrist. At this point, she was still very much unstable and not able to care for herself, so I have been working from home and being her caretaker. She is unable to take care of herself due to her mental state. Mind you, she has been clean since Jan 26th, which was her birthday. So very proud of her. But it’s been hard. She had a bad episode Sunday and left my house where she ended up back in the hospital and is now waiting to be transferred to another mental hospital. I am trying to get emergency guardianship over her so that I can help make decisions on her behalf so that she can get the care that she needs. It costs money, and things are already tight for me, but this is my baby sister, and we all miss her. Who she used to be. Her children want her in their life so bad.
