Help Anjelica Zingarino
In April 2021, Anjelica Zingarino went to an urgent care facility in Saratoga Springs, NY after a bad cough refused to go away. My dear friend received the devastating news then that she had a 10cm mass wrapped around her pulmonary artery that was pressing on her heart. A biopsy confirmed the shocking diagnosis we were all dreading: cancer. Specifically, T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma, a rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Things progressed very quickly from there. Anjelica was transferred to Albany Med, and then again to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, where she is being treated by Dr. Mark Geyer. She endured extensive testing and monitoring as an in-patient there for two weeks, and is now in the early stages of her first round of chemotherapy. Anjelica is finishing this round of treatment as an out-patient, staying nearby at a rented apartment with her Mom. We are awaiting to hear if the next round allows her to remain as an out-patient, but we know there is still a long road ahead for her.
For those of you who may not know her personally, Anjelica is an extraordinary human being. She is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong, and always puts her friends and family before herself. With this diagnosis, comes enduring treatment that will keep her out of work for the! foreseeable future. A cancer diagnosis carries huge unforeseen costs, and the only thing we want Anjelica to focus on is getting better.
It is time to show her the support that she has shown all of us Anything you are willing and able to do for her will be truly appreciated, and will directly help Anjelica with uncovered medical bills, out-patient travel/living expenses, post-cancer treatments and future medical costs. The family has appointed Anjelica’s aunt, Andra Clapsaddle, as the beneficiary of this GoFundMe. Andra is flying out to New York next month, and will help with organizing any assistance to fit Anjelica’s needs.
