Hello Family and Friends
My name is Gaby and I am the founder and director of the animal shelter “Corazón Animal San Francisco” located in the city of San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.
In 2009 I started this big adventure which has given me the honour to help and meet so many beautiful animals in desperate need of food, water, medicine and most important a loving home and family. Throughout these years myself and Antonio, co-founder and international and national volunteer, have been able to help hundreds of animals with homes, food and at times medical attention such as surgery, sterilisation, de-fleaing, injections - the list goes on and on.
Until now this has been funded out of my own resources, in other words, my own pocket. We have been able to find loving homes and forever families for a lot of our animal.
With the never-ending demand for resources I am desperately and constantly short of money and therefore limited in the help I can give. Many of the animals need medical attention to get ready to be adopted into a loving family. The shelter also has significant costs in utilities such as gas, water, electricity, etc. which is crucial to keep the project going; as well as the construction of animal houses and fences, which, as you can imagine, cost a lot of money for materials. There are also many more animals on the streets in appalling conditions that we would love to be able to care for.
This is where I ask you for your help, so we can keep this animal home running and we can give our four-legged friends the love, support and attention they desperately need. Any donation is a massive help and we thank you sincerely from the bottom of our hearts.
