Help Bring Road Kill to Life
Hi everyone! My name is Angelina Ferrante and I’m an upcoming senior at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television, raising funds to create my directorial debut short film, Road Kill.
The Story
When 19-year-old Josie accidentally kills a possum and brings it home, her dysfunctional family spirals into chaos — turning a simple cleanup into a domestic meltdown, where order collapses and love hides beneath the madness.
It’s a darkly funny, painfully honest story about how families clash, fall apart, and still manage to come back together — no matter how messy things get.
Why I Need Your Help
Film is a team effort. To make Road Kill possible, I need to cover costs like:
-Equipment rentals (camera, lighting, sound)
-Production design (bringing this chaotic family home to life)
-Costumes, props, and special effects
-Feeding and supporting our amazing and talented cast and crew
-Film Festival submission costs
Every dollar raised will go directly into making this film as strong and memorable as possible!
How You Can Help
-Donate: Any amount makes a difference! Every dollar counts!
-Share: Spread the word on social media, with friends, and with anyone who loves supporting new filmmakers.
-Join the Journey: Follow along for behind-the-scenes updates through @angelinaferrantefilms to see Road Kill come to life.
Why It Matters
This film is my first step into the world as a writer & director. It’s my chance to tell a story rooted in my own life and family, and to share with audiences what love can look like. With your support, Road Kill can be a film that feels uncomfortably familiar, heartbreakingly funny, and deeply human.
Thank you for helping me bring my debut film into the world. With your support, we’ll make something unforgettable!
With Love.
Angelina Ferrante and co-writer Dylan Loomis
