Hello, my name is Angelika. I am a divorcee living alone in NYC.

Last November, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. On Jan 10th, I contracted Covid 19th. Therefore my surgery was postponed for a month.

I have suffered a double mastectomy that required four surgeries instead of one. During 1st surgery, I suffered an anaphylaxis shock, and my heart stopped, so the surgery was aborted. Doctors had 3 minutes to revive me, and I’ve ended up in ICU with tubes in my throat to breathe. Another surgery was scheduled to remove the left breast and some lymph nodes for the following week. Unfortunately, one of the lymph nodes tested positive for cancer. On March 10th, the right breast was removed less than 24 hours after a blood clot was formed and emergency surgery was needed.

Two more surgeries are needed chemotherapy, radiation therapy and Reconstruction. The whole process will take about a year.

I am not a person who has ever depended on welfare or asked for anything from anybody. I have worked very hard my whole life, I am just left in a position where I cannot work, and I’m unable to pay some medical bills and any living expenses.
