Hello! My name is Angelica Grace (@missangelicagrace on IG) and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I'm a 21-year-old performer, actress, activist, and trans woman living in Chicago, IL.
On 7/27/20, my job of more than a year threatened to fire me due to my "behavior" at work. The reasons that I received from management were honestly ludicrous. I had already been dealing with a hostile work environment and not feeling appreciated, so this threat was the last straw for me and I made the decision to leave. In addition, my mental health has been very low this past month, and being at that workplace has not helped.
Beginning on 9/14/20, I will be unemployed. I will be taking a few weeks for some much needed mental and physical rest. I have allocated funds to tide me over for the next month or so. However, I am anxious and am anticipating difficulty with finding new employment during the COVID pandemic.
Until I can secure a new job and a stable income, I'm asking for my community's help in trying to raise $25,000. That will cover the following:
- Rent
- Utilities
- Groceries
- Transportation
- Hormones
- Gender Affirming Procedures (such as lazer hair removal and breast augmentation)
- Medical/Emergency Funds
