Help Support Angelica in Her Fight Against Cancer

My name is Eric Hansen, and I’m raising funds for a little warrior named Angelica Gresl and her family.

On August 13th, 2025, Angelica was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms tumor—a rare childhood kidney cancer. She has two large tumors, one on each kidney, along with a smaller tumor. Since her diagnosis, Angelica has bravely endured chemotherapy treatments in the hope of shrinking the tumors and saving one or both kidneys.

This journey has already been unimaginably difficult. After nearly every round of chemo, Angelica develops high fevers and must be rushed to the Emergency Room or admitted to Children’s Hospital for close monitoring and care. Through it all, she continues to fight with incredible strength for someone so young.

Angelica’s parents, Leah and Tim, are two of the most caring and selfless people I know. I first met Tim years ago while building houses, and I can honestly say he’s one of the hardest-working men I’ve ever met. He would do anything to provide for his family or lend a hand to a friend—or even a stranger. Just a couple of weeks ago, he stopped what he was doing to help a stranded family on the side of the highway fix a broken fuel line. That’s the kind of man he is.

Leah is equally remarkable—balancing part-time work, caring for their one-year-old daughter, and now navigating the challenges of Angelica’s diagnosis. Together, they are doing everything possible to hold their family together during this overwhelming time.

Right now, Leah and Tim are also preparing to sell their home so they can move closer to Children’s Hospital, knowing the road ahead will be long and full of uncertainty. With countless doctor visits, hospital stays, and treatments, it’s nearly impossible for Tim to keep steady work in remodeling, excavation, and tree removal. The financial strain on top of the emotional weight is crushing.

Their families have stepped in to help as much as they can, but they can’t do it all. After much convincing, Leah and Tim finally allowed me to create this fundraiser on their behalf—something they were hesitant about because they are always the first to give, not to ask.

If you’re able, please consider donating to help with medical bills, living expenses, and the countless unforeseen costs that come with fighting childhood cancer. Every bit of support helps lighten their load so they can focus on what truly matters—being there for Angelica and their daughters.

Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting this amazing family during the toughest battle of their lives.
