Help Angel study acupuncture

     Hello everyone, this go fund me is for my friend and coworker Angel. We are trying to raise money for him to attend acupuncture school in Guatemala City. Angel is 21 years old and from Santa Cruz Quiche Guatemala. Angel has been working for the past several years for the organization Global Healthworks Foundation which provides free acupuncture and other natural medicine to indigenous people in and around Quiche and Chichicastenango in a traveling clinic. Angel works providing ear acupuncture, massage, cupping and moxa in the mobile clinics but most importantly kind and compassionate care to all patients some suffering a great deal of physical and emotional distress with no means of affording any healthcare. He is incredibly dedicated to learning and practicing acupuncture. He has a dream to study acupuncture in the capital and receive a degree so he can start his own clinic in Santa Cruz providing affordable and free healthcare.
     It is very difficult for many people in this region to acquire money for schooling. Despite having a full time job Angel still cannot afford to pay for school or transportation to the capital where he would attend school. Angel has been researching different schools and found one he is really excited about called Esmenta Ixchel. He has been saving for his schooling but given many other necessities that have to come first it could be a very long time before he has enough to pay for school. We are hoping that with this fundraising he can have enough to start his first month at Esmenta Ixchel mid January. The school is a 10 month program and the approximate cost each month for school and transportation is 1200 Quetzales equal to around 171 USD. The schooling in total will come to around 1,714 USD. Along with the costs of school we are asking for an extra 1,300 dollars to help with costs of materials and books as well as clinical supplies for Angel to begin setup of his future practice.
