Help Angel & Vickie

Donation protected
My very good friend & co-worker Vickie & his story are below:

My beautiful husband, Angel J. Vazquez was diagnosed with stage III lung cancer in April of this year.  The kind of cancer he was diagnosed with is known as a “smoker’s cancer” but he has never smoked.  He did serve our country for 20 years before retiring in September of 2016.   During his service, Angel was deployed to Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan for a total of 6 tours.  We suspect that his cancer was caused by some sort of environmental exposure during his time in the military but we do not know for certain. In May of this year, he started chemo  and radiation treatments and he completed treatment at the end of June.  In the month of July he had a break from all treatment and we used that time to detox his body of all of the harmful effects of chemo and radiation and began to work on rebuilding his immune system.  In the first week of August, he had an MRI done to his brain, CT scan and Pet scan.  We met with his team and although the tumor in his lung shrunk in size, there is still some cancer activity in that lung. We were also informed that he has two new spots of cancer…one in his liver and one in his sternum.  Despite the news, Angel and I are believers in our God, in His healing and we will continue to fight.  We are doing our part by putting him on a plant based, organic, raw food diet as we have done extensive research on this.  During our research we have come across many patients who were stage IV and basically given only months to live.  They were offered chemo and radiation as is what they are offering Angel at this time.  Those patients decided to turn down traditional treatment and decided to switch their diets to a raw food, plant based diet and many of them are still alive years after they were told they would not be.  One of the common things in all of these patients is that they decided to live life one day at a time, have faith in God and faith that they’re decision to heal naturally is the right decision.  We have found some hospitals in Mexico that offer alternative treatment in conjunction with traditional treatment but their focus is to detox and heal his body, not pump it full of chemicals and toxins.  We are hoping to raise money to get him down to Mexico for treatment.  I will be speaking to doctors from each of the hospitals in the next few days before I make a decision on where we would like him to receive treatment.  This is the recent medical history of my husband Angel but there is so much more to him.  He is a kind, patient, loving soul and is so wise beyond his years.  I am drawing from his strength during this time of pain and fear.  He is an amazing son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting him loves him almost instantly. He has sacrificed so much for so many people and gave 20 years of service to our great country and even in the midst of our current struggles, he continues to be the glue that holds our family together and is still making sure that everyone’s needs are met.  I feel so blessed that God loved me so much, he sent me one of his own angels to be my husband and my best friend.  I will never be able to put in words how much I love this beautiful, amazing soul and how much happiness and love he has given me and our daughters.  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this time and please lift us up so that we may be guided in the direction that God wants us to go.  May God Bless You All!
