Andrew Fallstich's reintegration

Donation protected
Our old friend Andrew Fallstich needs our help reintegrating into society.  His struggles with mental health over the last decade funneled him into the Florida prison system and alienated his friends and supports. Andrew was released from prison almost a month ago and is living at a homeless shelter in Gainesville still wearing the same prison crocs and barely holding onto life.  When I asked him how the shelter compared to prison, he said "its almost worse than prison, because at least in prison you know you have a bed".

Living at the homeless shelter is not sustainable for Andrew, he doesn't enjoy his life at all, and he is without hope.  Andrew is extremely traumatized by his experiences in prison and we have the opportunity to collectively put the wind back in his sails that he needs to get back on his feet.  This could be the last "fork in the road" as far as him having a chance to have some kind of life.

I (Zach Zimmerman) am orchestrating a mission to relocate Andrew from Florida to Washington DC with the intention of creating a new world of opportunity for Andrew.  My wife and I live here and can function as his support system, and will find him a room in our quiet and relaxed neighborhood.   There are excellent mental health resources in DC and other general resources for people in his position.  DC is a great place to work, and I've got several leads on small jobs for him already.

Ive been talking to Andrew for a week about coming up to DC and he really wants to.  He is suffering from low self esteem and he is bankrupt of self worth.  I strongly believe that this effort to bring him up to DC could have "life saving" effects.

I am trying to raise 1500-2500$ for Andrew to pay for:

Bus ticket to DC
A Room to Rent next to our house (750$ per month DC is expensive and he might need more than a month to stabilize)
A Bed and Bedding for the Room
Cloths, Shoes, Backpack
Food

100% of the money will go directly to Andrew Fallstich.  I will not retain any of the money whatsoever.  My family and I have already been investing in him, getting him a phone and sending him food money, trying to get him to love his self a little bit.
