He is not only an exceptional firefighter but also, and more importantly, an amazing father to his 5 kids, always putting family and community before his own needs.

<div>During a recent emergency appendix surgery, they discovered a large mass in his colon, which sadly turned out to be cancer. They will be aggressively going after it with surgery and treatment. We all know that Duran is a fighter and will kick cancer’s ass. <strong>That being said, he is the sole provider for a wife and five kids, and we want to help him out with all the bills we know will start coming in as he fights.</strong> He would never ask for help, but that’s what we are for. Let's help our brother as much as we can in his time of need.
