Hi, my name is Andres Quevedo. I’m an international student from Ecuador who recently graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF). I’m also a Christian, and I serve faithfully every week at my church in the kids ministry.

Right now, I’m going through one of the hardest seasons of my life. I’ve been waiting for over five months for my immigration document that will allow me to legally work. During this time, I’ve had to use up all my savings just to keep up with my bills and basic needs.

On top of that, I was involved in two separate car accidents within a few weeks. The first one was a hit-and-run that wasn’t my fault, but I still had to pay $3,000 out of pocket to fix my car. Just days later, I was in another accident, and this time my car was completely totaled. Now I have no vehicle and no way to get to church, job opportunities, or even everyday needs.

To make things more difficult, my lease recently expired, and I’ve been living on a friend’s couch. My friends have been kind enough to let me borrow their cars sometimes, but what I really need right now is to be able to buy a car and cover the new insurance costs so that I can move forward.

Once my work permit is finally approved, I will be able to start working after nearly six months of waiting. My goal is to save for a new place to live close to my future job. But for now, I need your help to get through this gap.
