Help first Honduran woman at the FIFA master
¡Hola!
Mi nombre es Andrea Pizzati y recientemente fui aceptada en el programa de maestría en Administración, Leyes y Humanidades del Deporte, mejor conocida como el “FIFA Master”. Este es el programa de postgrado más reconocido a nivel mundial y está organizado por el Centro Internacional de Estudios del Deporte (CIES, por sus siglas en inglés) y la FIFA, en conjunto con tres prestigiosas universidades europeas:
* Humanities of Sport en De Montfort University, Leicester, Inglaterra
* Sport Management en SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milán, Italia
* Sport Law at Université de Neuchâtel, Neuchâtel, Suiza
Como imaginarán, este programa es altamente competitivo y solamente 32 personas de 26 diferentes nacionalidades fueron aceptadas de un grupo de más de 700 aplicantes a nivel internacional. Me enorgullece enormemente confirmar que mi aceptación me convierte en la primera mujer hondureña aceptada en la historia de este programa y la única centroamericana en esta edición 2021-2022.
He dedicado casi seis años al servicio del deporte y desarrollo del fútbol en Honduras a través de mi federación nacional y he continuado mi formación y trabajo para destacar en una industria altamente competitiva y predominantemente masculina. En el 2019 me convertí en la primera mujer hondureña graduada del Programa de liderazgo para mujeres en el fútbol de la FIFA y la UEFA, en el 2020 la primera graduada del Programa ejecutivo de administración deportiva de la FIFA-CIES y la Universidad de Costa Rica y soy la única persona no-europea miembro de la junta directiva de alumni de la UEFA Academy. Creo que el fútbol es la pasión que une a todos los hondureños y mi objetivo no solo es continuar trabajando para utilizarlo como vehículo de desarrollo de nuestro país, sino abrir las puertas para que más mujeres se involucren y destaquen en esta industria.
El programa tiene un costo total de 45,000 EUR y a pesar de contar con media beca para mis estudios, el costo total de mantenimiento (hospedaje, alimentación, transporte, trámites de visa, etc) corre enteramente por mi cuenta (aprox. 25,000 EUR). Afortunadamente, fui seleccionada como una de las recipientes del crédito-beca de Hondufuturo, pero debido a situaciones relacionadas con el COVID-19 y la pandemia mundial, aún hay costos que debo cubrir, por lo que estoy intentando recaudar 10,000 EUR.
Creo firmemente en la solidaridad y la importancia de la comunidad y el apoyo a la juventud y en especial a las mujeres, por lo que agradezco de antemano su valiosa colaboración. Estoy increíblemente bendecida, contenta y emocionada por compartir este enorme logro con ustedes.

Hi everyone!
My name is Andrea Pizzati and I was recently accepted to my dream master's program in Sports Administration, Law and Humanities, better known as the “FIFA Master”. This is the most recognized postgraduate program worldwide and is organized by the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) and FIFA, in conjunction with three prestigious European universities:
* Humanities of Sport at De Montfort University, Leicester, England
* Sport Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan, Italy
* Sport Law at Université de Neuchâtel, Neuchâtel, Switzerland
As you can imagine, this program is highly competitive; only 32 people of 26 different nationalities were accepted from a pool of over 700 applicants from around the world. I am extremely proud to confirm that my acceptance makes me the first Honduran woman accepted in the history of this program and the only Central American candidate in this 2021-2022 edition.
I have dedicated almost six years of my professional career in sports administration and the development of football in Honduras through my national federation. I have worked hard and continued my studies to excel in a highly competitive and predominantly male industry. In 2019 I became the first Honduran woman to graduate from the FIFA and UEFA Women in Football Leadership Program, in 2020 I graduated from the FIFA-CIES Executive programme in sports management at the University of Costa Rica and I am the only non-European member of the UEFA Academy alumni board. I believe that football is the passion that unites all Hondurans and my goal is not only to continue working on it as a vehicle for the development of our country, but to open the doors for more women to get involved and thrive in this industry.
The program has a total cost of aprox. 45,000 EUR and despite having been awarded a merit-based scholarship for my studies, the total cost of maintenance (accommodation, food, transportation, visa procedures, health insurance, etc.) is entirely up to me (approx. 25,000 EUR). Fortunately, I was selected as one of the recipients of the Hondufuturo grant-credit, but due to situations related to COVID-19 and the global pandemic, there are still costs that I have to cover, so I am trying to raise 10,000 EUR through crowdfunding.
I firmly believe in solidarity, the importance of our community and the support of young professionals -- particularly women. I am incredibly blessed, incredibly thankful and incredibly excited to share this experience with all of you.
