Greetings to all. My name is Shirley Terry. I am starting a Go Fund Me in support of my brother Andre Terry, who has been stricken with the COVID 19 Virus. My brother did not want to go to the hospital because he has no medical insurance, and is self-employed in the fashion industry ( which has also been another victim of Covid 19).
He lives in Dallas, Texas and has been in the hospital since November 21, with not only COVID 19, but pneumonia. My brother moved from Austin, Texas in 1998 in pursuit of becoming a designer. He has left his fashion mark on stage, television and musical productions. His career came to a drastic halt in March 2016 due to a fire.
Andre lost years of collectible fabrics, sewing machines equipment, and family treasures. It took years to rebuild.... to now face the COVID 19 pandemic. Andre informed me he was not feeling well back on November 8, I told him to start drinking hot tea, broth, rinsing his nostrils, and to stay inside. As days pasted he started sleeping longer, constant coughing, and shallow breathing. After a week of feeling very weak, and not being able to eat with nothing changing... he took the COVID 19 test on November 17, yet he did not get the positive results until November 20. By that date, he could barely walk. I told him it was time to go to the emergency room, and praying they would not have to put him on a ventilator. He drove himself to ensure he would not subject friends or love ones to any exposure to COVID 19.
Due to him not being able to work for over 3 weeks, he is in dire need of funds to assist him with medical, and living expenses. The doctors do not know what lasting affects COVID 19 will have on my brother. We do know he will need medical assistance once he is released. Please know we truly appreciate any donations given towards supporting Andre. All funds will be monitored by myself to ensure all expenses are documented and managed directly by Andre Terry.
