<div>My name is Deon Soukeroff, and I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Andie Warnes for the past 16 years. Everyone who knows her loves her. She is an amazing mother, wife, friend, sister, and daughter. Anyone lucky enough to know Andie knows what a kind and loving human she is and how many of us desperately need her to get better.

<div>Andie was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Lymphoma in December 2023, after discovering a mass on her chest during that summer. Andie was given no other choice but to leave for Vancouver immediately (the next day) to start an aggressive form of chemotherapy that would last 6 months. This took a huge toll on Andie’s overall health, presenting many different challenges along the way. Andie developed many serious medical issues from chemotherapy. This line of treatment took out most of the cancer, however, we found out in September that Andie has developed a second type of lymphoma cancer. Her second diagnosis in 9 months.

<div>Andie has been approved for a brand-new treatment in Vancouver that will start in a few weeks. This type of treatment only became available in BC in March 2024. This CAR-T treatment is Andie’s best chance for survival. Andie is receiving radiation right now and then will head to Vancouver for another round of chemotherapy and to start CAR-T. Andie and her family will be in Vancouver for the next couple of months while Andie continues to fight this aggressive disease.

<div>Andie has only been able to work a small amount since last year. Yesterday she temporarily closed her counselling practice to continue seeking life-saving treatments in Vancouver. This family is going back and forth to stay close and be with Andie. This has created a lot of financial hardship for this amazing family. Andie is heading back to Vancouver where she will remain for the rest of this year. Donovan has taken time from work as a RCMP member to look after Lennon and Roman as this has been such a difficult time for them. There are so many of us that need Andie to keep fighting.
