Welp, the time has finally come that i gain the courage to ask for help. Hello everyone, if you don't know me my name is Samantha Michael, Sam for short. I'm a 27 year old transgender woman living in California. I've been medically transitioning for almost two years now and the time has finally come for my gender affirming surgeries. I am beyond scared but at the same time I'm extremely happy to finally be aligned in the body I was meant to have. It's been a long, stressful, depressing, happy, and surprising road. I work full time and I have insurance. Unfortunately, my insurance isn't the best and I'm going to be left with high out of pocket expenses that I am going to do my best to cover. I'm just afraid that I won't be able to cover them all in such a small time frame, as two of my three surgeries are happening within the span of 2 months. Which is also going to put me out of work for a brief period of time.  I'm so grateful that I've finally been given dates securing my surgeries, as I've been waiting for this what feels like a lifetime. I really don't want to be forced to cancel one or both due to financial reasons. This is why I am asking for your help. I'm asking for your support in helping me finally cross the barrier that I've been facing since I was 20 years old. To finally be comfortable in my own skin.
