Title: Help Doctor Simon Gutierrez Win the fight against COVID-19

Story: I've known doctor Simon Gutierrez for over 45 years. He is a loving husband to Dulce and father to Elsy, Adrianna and Simon. A humble, honest man with a good heart. I know this because he is my dad. As a pediatritian living in Venezuela, my dad helped thousands of young kids stay healthy for many years. I remember my father picking up families that didn't have a way to get to the hospital on his way to work. He always saw all patients that were taken to his office, even if they didn't have any money to pay and never turned down families that came to his office offering to pay with a chicken because that was all they had.

My dad retired a few years ago, and having the opportunity of leaving Venezuela he decided to stay, inspite the political and economical situation of our native country. Never in a million years, he thought he was going back to the hospital as a patient himself.

As many people in the past year, my dad got infeccted with COVID-19. He is currently in ICU connected to a respirator, fighting for his life. We are being charged $2,500 a day just for the respirator. We have almost depleted his life's savings and ours. We decided to create this GoFundMe and appeal to the goodness of your heart to give doctor Simon Gutierrez a chance to win his fight against COVID-19.
