Our friend Edgar needs your help. He came to the US as a small child, but he is now facing deportation and separation from his son who he loves so much. Please help us keep this family together.
Edgar only learned he was undocumented when he was a teenager. He is a high school graduate and he holds down a steady job to support himself and his sweet 10 year old boy.
Edgar's final court hearing to be removed from the US is set for June 6, 2019 in Denver. Worst case scenario: Edgar is made to leave his son along with the rest of his family and community and sent to a country he doesn't know.
Your funds will be used for Edgar's legal expenses, an evaluation of Edgar's son that demonstrates the exceptional hardship caused by the loss of a stable father, and travel expenses to comply with the court's rulings that Edgar interact in person with a consulate in Mexico, where he will likely need to stay for an extended period of time.
Edgar's legal defense was significantly disrupted recently when his attorney retired before fully completing Edgar's cancellation of removal. Edgar now needs to hire a new lawyer with very little time remaining for adequate representation. Your funds will be used immediately to retain an immigration lawyer and help a father and son stay connected.
