Help Ana have a happy old age!

We are a group of neighbours who want to help the elderly lady who lives in our block of flats to smile again. Ana Alvares is 85 years old and has lived in her apartment for 20 years. Sadly, her best friend who used to help her out with shopping, cleaning, keeping her company and taking her out died recently leaving Ana alone and unable to cope. She hasn’t been out in nearly a year and cannot manage her cleaning or shopping. The people in the local market have been giving her extra food and we all visit her to make sure that she is not left alone too much but the apartment is too much for her to clean alone. She lives on a small pension and cannot afford to pay for anyone to come and help her. We would like to raise money so that Ana can have someone to help her with cleaning; 1000 euros would help Ana pay for someone to come and clean her apartment every week for a year. Old age is hard when you’re alone and ageing without any family to support you. Please help us give Ana have a happy old age.
