Help An unhoused couple get a camper to live in
Donation protected
Hey, we’re fundraising on behalf of a unhoused couple local to Corvallis trying to get a trailer to live in. They’ve been living in a tent for the better part of a year after previously loosing the car that they had been living out of. With colder weather incoming this would be a huge step for them to get back on their feet after a hard time and would keep them warm and safe in the coming months.
We are a mutual aid group operating in Corvallis for 2 years. In the time we’ve been around we’ve helped a number of people get into stable housing. Most of what we do day to day is provide help with survival necessities, twice weekly meals and goods distributions, and support unhoused people experiencing sweeps. We believe that everyone has a right to survival; this means food, housing, warmth, and kindness. We also believe that the government is frequently uninterested in assuring these things, and therefor we as people have a responsibility to help one another in the ways we can. As a mutual aid group we’re not charity and many of the unhoused people we support help to support our efforts as well, via helping us serve food, donating items they no longer need to be redistributed, loaning is tables to serve food on, and trailers to help others move, and various other ways
