Help an Awesome RVA Mom In Need

I met Rashida last week just after she moved out of a shelter and into a new apartment with her kids. I’m not gonna give you any more of her personal information to convince you to help her, because it feels like a violation. Rashida is a black mother in 2017 and she’s DOING IT, and she needs our help. Just after getting her apartment, her car was repossessed due to a “stupid title loan. “ Her words, internalizing the predatory nature of these piece of garbage financial institutions and blaming herself. She’s ready to “take it as a loss,” but she lives deep in Mosby Court and has small kids and she needs her car. We have a week, let’s help her.

I’m calling on every mother I know and every ally man. Give this woman the boost she needs to see the road ahead for her and her children. She deserves it. Black mothers need to know that even if our administration does not see them, WE the people do.
